Breathing and the Relaxation Response – An Update on Breathing Exercise as Tool in the Anti-Cancer Arsenal

Here are a few new links for breathing exercises and a news story about the consequences of breathing imbalances and health. Dr Roberta Lee of New York’s Beth Israel Hospital tells CBS News that proper breath rates of 6 to 10 breaths per minute instead of the shallow 15 to 20 breaths per minute of normal daily breathing, ” slows down the heart rate… stimulates the relaxation response in the automatic nervous system and restoration begins to happen.” The Relaxation Response is our bodies reaction to the Fight or Flight Reaction to the stress response that causes unwanted chronic inflammation. Taking just 10 minutes a day of breathing practice can soon bring your own breath rate in line with a healthful anti-inflammatory state. So sit back, relax and breath your way to better health. Too easy? Sure. Totally natural? Of course. Effective. You bet!

Follow the links and enjoy a mini vacation. Your body will thank you.
